“To mobilise a passionate generation of worshippers, intimate with and equipped by God, to be shapers of nations” Over the last few years we have felt a burden in our hearts to be part of mobilising a passionate generation of worshippers who are able to stand in the world. The times that we live in can appear to many as oppressive and can often cause fear to rise within us. However, the truth is that we are living in exciting times where God has the victory over the oppressor. Our vision is to see the Kingdom of God expand further with increased healing, miracles and salvation and for a fatherless generation to rise up, take the ground and enter into the promises of God. We believe that we have a responsibility to take up our role and be part of leading an army, to gather young people together from different denominations, different walks of life, to equip them for one purpose ... to worship our Creator in Spirit and in truth and to fulfil the destiny that God has designed for each one. The Awakening is an event that seeks to engage young people in our region in passionate, sold-out worship of God. We want to awaken our young people to the realisation that God is real, present and POWERFUL! It is He that changes us, enables us and then commissions us with a mandate to revolutionise nations! In the UK we don’t need revival ... we need reformation and transformation. We need reformation and transformation in every sphere of our society from finance to education, medicine to marketing and business. Although billed primarily as a youth and young adult event, The Awakening event is open to anyone who is hungry for more of God and is wanting to press deeper into intimacy with Him. Lee and Sarah Speller Monthly events These will be monthly meetings, beginning on the 3rd October 2009 initially based in Tiptree with a vision to make these mobile in the coming months. The intent is to worship God with a lively contemporary band with the emphasis on encounter. Whenever we gather to worship we seek to be equipped by God so that we can share what we have with the world. The meetings will be Spirit lead with a team musicians and prophetic people and will be largely spontaneous and not restricted to a set format. This gives room for God to surprise us and for us to receive rhema (now) word. These events are not just about the team that we have doing all the work; we want to positively encourage the young people to start their own bands that could lead at the event as well a dance groups etc. Prayer We take prayer very seriously. We want to be even more real with God behind the scenes than when we are in front of loads of people. For this reason, we gather people from the team together to pray twice a week. These meetings are in no way exclusive so if you would like to partner with us in prayer and come to these evenings please email us using the ‘contact us’ page.
